Limni Keri Beach Zakynthos

Before talking to you about Limni Keri beach, it seems right to make an important distinction that often deceives travelers. In Zakynthos we have two Keri, precisely the village of Keri also call Keri Village a typical mountain village with stone architecture with small labyrinthine mazes and narrow houses that group around the town square with its classic kafenio where the inhabitants and visitors like to gather during the day to tell a thousand stories and pass the time. There are many agencies that organize day trips through the Marine Park of Zakynthos where you can also admire the monk seal if you are lucky as well as a sea with which you will fall madly in love. If, on the other hand, you want to be more independent, you can also rent a boat and go to the discovery of the area that offers glimpses of crazy colors. For sports enthusiasts, some excellent diving centers that will take you to places where you can experience wonderful adventures in the abyss.

Limni Keri beach is not equipped, you can choose the place that most stimulates you and spread out your towel to spend a memorable day at the beach. As far as catering is concerned, you will be spoiled for choice. In the village behind you there are several typical taverns where you can taste the delicacies of traditional and local Greek cuisine and small bars where you can consume something light and fast. Stop for dinner or an aperitif, the moment of twilight is a spectacle of Mother Nature without equal.

For a little more privacy, go to the Keri Lake beach (Limni Keriou in Greek) which takes its name from a lake that has now dried up and is not visible where you will find a small village bordered by fragrant olive groves with the Marathonissi islad, all away from noise and immersed in an almost surreal tranquility.

In Keri there is the largest flag in Greece which entered the Guinness Book of Records in 2007. Designed and built by the owner of the restaurant located in the area and from which you can enjoy a magnificent view, it has a fifty long pole. meters with a diameter of one and a total weight of 6500 kg. Its dimensions are impressive, measuring 18.10 x 36.90 meters and covering an area of 670 square meters.

The most comfortable method, as always, is with your own vehicle. We recommend the car in Zakynthos as there are so many things to see and they are scattered all over the island.

If otherwise you are not autonomous, there are public buses that connect Zante Town, but be careful because there are only two daily trips and none at the weekend.

Arriving from above you will come across a windmill and the view sweeps over the large valley full of olive trees and green Mediterranean scrub which in contrast with the color of the sea and the view of the Marathonissi island makes the landscape sublime like a painting.
