Kryoneri Beach Zakynthos

Kryoneri beach, we find it in the south-eastern part of the Zakynthos island, just one kilometer from the capital Zante Town.

It is considered a bit like the city beach of the capital and is much loved above all by the locals who allow themselves a refreshing bath after work without having to move and go far.

A small coast of stones and rocks, let's say it's not among the most beautiful but certainly among the most comfortable even just for the stirrup dive! Its waters are always calm and despite its position in the city, they are crystalline and clean with a turquoise sea and depths that descend slowly, perfect for families with children.

Since both the beach and the seabed are rocks and stones, we advise you to bring rock shoes because it is slippery and it would be a shame to ruin your holiday in Zakynthos due to a cut or a fall.

Kryoneri beach is ideal for snorkelling and spearfishing enthusiasts. The marine flora and fauna is very lively and interesting to observe and above all the rocks are full of octopuses, so don't forget your fins, mask, snorkel, you may even get yourself a succulent dinner.

It is not equipped at all also because lying down is not so comfortable unless you are used to beaches of this kind, however as far as catering is concerned, nearby there are small mini markets, bars and kiosks where you can find something to drink and eat. If you are more demanding instead, just take a walk towards the town and you will be spoiled for choice on what to eat and where.

Near the Kryoneri beach there are tennis courts and playgrounds to satisfy even the most sporty people who don't want to give up their shape even on vacation and also a small port where fishing boats and some private individuals are usually moored.

If you have decided to stay during your holiday in Greece in the capital Zante Town and it is very easy, you can very well reach it on foot with a pleasant walk perhaps passing through its wonderful alleys full of shops, or if you have a vehicle and you are particularly lazy in a few minutes you will reach your destination.

If, on the other hand, you are not as a base nearby, the direction is towards Zante Town and from there follow the road north until you reach Kryoneri beach.

A good solution for a day when you don't want to move but don't want to give up a bath. Mark it as a reserve in your list of things to do in Zakynthos it can be a "day saver".
